THIS EVENT HAS NOW ENDED
It’s that time of year again… punnets of strawberries and cream are being devoured in their thousands and live screens are popping up all over London.
With the thrill of the Championships in the air, Wimbledon fever has once again taken over the capital. With the weather holding out (at least for now), there’s nothing quite like catching up on the action whilst collapsed on a deckchair with friends, a cold glass of Pimm’s in hand and the sun setting over the Thames behind you.
With so many rooftop bars, squares and parks showing the action this summer it can be hard to choose where to head. And yet for those who may have just finished a spot of lunch or an early supper at The Delaunay and aren’t quite ready to head home, a mere 10-minute stroll towards the river and you will stumble upon Victoria Embankment Gardens.
From now until the Men’s final on 15th July, ‘Wimbledon on the Northbank’ has returned to the Bandstand at Victoria Embankment Gardens for two weeks of live, free screening. Arguably the most central outdoors screening of the Championships, it’s a particularly lovely spot to catch up on all the action.
So pack a picnic and we’ll see you there. Game on!
