Celebrate the timeless magic of The Sound of Music with our specially curated afternoon tea, created in honour of the film’s 60th anniversary and inspired by the rich cultural heritage of Salzburg.
With its Viennese roots and connection to the arts, The Delaunay is the perfect setting for this nostalgic tribute. Available daily during Afternoon Tea Week (11th–17th August) – a nationwide celebration of this great culinary tradition – our limited-edition menu pays homage to the musical traditions and Austrian spirit that The Sound of Music so famously brought to life.
A Menu Inspired by Salzburg
Guests can indulge in a selection of Austrian-inspired delicacies, including our decadent Mozart cake, a layered chocolate and mint slice, or the Linzer Nut Tart, filled with raspberry jam and violette cream. Other highlights include the Ruben Carrot Cake, featuring a spiced carrot and walnut sponge with hazelnut cream, and the Salzburger Pistachio and Poppyseed Sponge, paired with vanilla cream and strawberry jam. Complementing our curated selection of cakes is our classic savoury sandwiches and freshly baked scones.
Signature Cocktails
To accompany the menu, our bar team has created a series of exclusive cocktails inspired by The Sound of Music. Sip on Raspberries on Roses, a refreshing blend of No.3 London Gin, fresh raspberries, lime juice, and Fever-Tree ginger ale. Alternatively, savour the rich and warming The Captain’s Nightcap (Bulleit Bourbon, coffee liqueur, chocolate and orange bitters) or the elegant A Drop of Golden Sun (Johnnie Walker Black Label Scotch, apricot liqueur, almond syrup, and lemon).
