The Delaunay Presents

AN EVENING WITH...

The Delaunay plays host to intimate evenings with some of the leading stars of the stage, screen or written word (and sometimes all three), as they share the secrets to their success.

Our next guest in our exclusive series ‘The Delaunay Presents, An Evening With…’ will be Richard Armitage. Our host, journalist and writer Tim Wapshott, delves into Richard’s many career highlights, from his iconic role as Thorin in Peter Jackson’s adaptation of ‘The Hobbit‘ trilogy, to his recent lead role in Netflix’s ‘Obsession‘.

Alongside his screen success, Richard has built up a notable stage career. He was Angus in the RSC’s production of ‘Macbeth’ alongside Anthony Sher and Harriet Walter, and later won acclaim for his performances in both ‘The Crucible’, at the Old Vic, and ‘Uncle Vanya’, at the Harold Pinter Theatre. Expect an evening of informal conversation that includes Richard’s favourite performances, the joys and challenges of being an actor and his future plans.
